A few weeks ago, you may have read how important in your image is in all facets of your life. It's so important, I'm moving ahead with my second workshop.
How To Dress For Your Best Workshop
Noon to 3 p.m. on Sat., May 3, 2008
The workshop will be held at 6711 West Alexander (Rainbow and Alexander), right here in Las Vegas. The price is only $35. If you inquire and register by e-mail before April 25, save $5. Bring a friend or family member and one ticket will be half price.
It's an excellent value, especially for men and women who are looking for an extra boost in self esteem. The focus on the workshop is how to match your body type to clothing that makes you look and feel your best in a power-packed three hours.
Just one take away from this program will be your very own personal shopping guide. I'll even teach you how to dress your best in such a way that it emphasizes certain areas of your body to add balance. You'll get the idea quickly because I have arranged models with different body types to help demonstrate various tips and techniques, including hair, makeup, and accessories.
I will also have a guest makeup artist and two hair specialists attending to provide you with some additional tips. Some of you might remember Charlene and Rhonda from the last workshop. They are a dynamic sister team, with Charlene specializing in color and Rhonda specializing in cuts. Charlene, who is board certified since 1999, has been a colorist for 15 years. Rhonda, who is also certified in extensions, has been a specialist for seven years. Both have been featured in several magazines.
Josie Schauerhamer of Lia Sophia will join them to provide some accessory tips. As you know, today's lifestyles demand many different roles and many different looks. Lia Sophia accessories are especially versatile, helping you transition from career to casual to evening wear. Personally, what I like best about Lia Sophia is that every piece comes with a lifetime guarantee. If you like to shop bring your wallet because you will have an opportunity to purchase these fabulous accessories right at the workshop.
Best of all, I will be personally assisting anyone who wears a specific outfit how you can change it up or dress it down. It's very important to know how. Your ability to change one outfit into several can help you always look your best for the right occasion and help you expand your wardrobe.
Please don't delay. I will have limited seating at this event, so it's important to register as early as possible (besides, you'll save $5, even more if you bring a friend). Just send me an e-mail today: stephanie (at) imageempowering.com. Wishing you peace, love, and joy in your life!

What Do You Do When Your Clothes Don't Fit?
One of the most common questions my clients ask me is what should they do when their clothes don't fit anymore? It happens to everyone, right? You gain or lose a few pounds and, suddenly, nothing seems to fit.
I recently had this problem too. I recently lost a little over 10 pounds (not that I needed too; a food allergy had unexpectedly caused it). Right, I know. Poor me. But there is a reason I'm willing to share this story with you.
I did what all women who suffer from weight fluctuation do — I sulked.
You know, it's painful to look in the closet week after week, only to find that it's full of nice clothes that don't fit. So, I looked at my options.
My first thought was to shop for some temporary clothes. But was that what I really wanted to do? Go shopping and spend a bunch of money on clothes that won't fit when I regain what I consider my normal weight?
My second thought, was that I could have my old clothes altered so they fit my new frame, but it's really the same problem. I'd eventually have to have them altered again. "How many times could I afford to do that?" I wondered.
As a professional, you cannot wait too long to make a decision.
Can you imagine? While I was trying to make a decision, I was hurting my own image. How can I effectively advise other men and women about looking and feeling their best when I'm in the same boat? If I advise others to have their clothes altered while I'm walking around with pants that sag so bad in the bottom that my 8-year-old could jump in with me, then what message am I communicating to my clients?
Finally, it hit me. I was packing to attend a seminar when I realized just how saggy my ass really looked every time I put my pants on. THIS IS NOT O.K.!
The longer we wait, the less sure we feel about ourselves. The longer we wait, the more self-conscious we feel about our saggy bottoms. The longer we wait, the more money we may lose because we don't look or feel good about ourselves.
The first step brings us back the the same-old solution. If we invest even $500 on some new clothes and a few alterations, we're likely make ten times that amount back in a shorter amount of time. Gaining our self-confidence back rather than waiting to to be "normal" again is that powerful. Never underestimate positive thinking or The Law of Attraction . It starts with looking and feeling your best!
Duh. It was about time I listened to myself.
Look, we are all human. We all second guess ourselves. Don't wait for the perfect weight. You deserve to look and feel your best now. Right now. You are worth investment. In fact, chances are that the sooner you look and feel great, the sooner great things will start happening.
Wishing you peace, love, and joy in your life ... at any size!

Your Personal Image Affects Your Job
If you're not sitting down, you might want to. These statistics are nothing to overlook.
Ninety five percent of employers say a woman's personal appearance shapes their opinion of her job suitability.
I find that amazing! Ninety five percent is pretty high. In my opinion, we'd see the same high numbers for entrepreneurs too. Potential clients want to see success and the first indication is image. Your ability to keep a client is based on image too.
Sixty one percent of employers also said dress and grooming had an effect on subsequent promotions. So not only do you need to dress well for the interview, you must keep it up too. Sure, you might already know this. I mentioned it a few weeks ago.
If you want the promotion, dress as if the job is already yours. It shows a sense of self worth and most new employers and clients are looking for it. Even more amazing, for women, 65-79 percent of employers said that appearance affects whether or not she is taken seriously. It affects whether or not she is asked to represent the company at an outside meeting. It even influences whether or not she will be given new challenges.
There is something else to consider too. Image is not the same as physical attractiveness or expensive clothes. The bottom line is that it's not what you're wearing as much as it's about the confidence you carry when you know you look your best.
It's something to think about. It's something to act on. It's something we can do together. Because I only one thing for you — peace, love, and joy in your life! :)

Appearance Dictates Your First Impression
Traveling for work has kept me off my blog, but I haven't forgotten about it. I'm already back in the swing of things with some new ideas I picked up along the way.
Do you know that 55 percent of your first impression is made by your appearance?
It makes me think, and I hope it makes you think too. What does your appearance say about you? Are you dressing for success? Have you attracted all the business you desire and deserve? These are just some of the questions I want help you answer at my next workshop. Let's pick a date!
So please let me know. No matter what date we pick, the workshop will be extended from two hours to three hours to provide even more personal service, but still give you enough details to go shopping afterward. Also, please check back next week. I have some more great tips to share with you. Until then, may you find every day filled with peace, love, and joy in your life. :)
